What is O.T.?
Occupational Therapists working with children and young people have knowledge and experience of how children develop and acquire skills.
They aim to maximise a child’s functional ability at home, school, for play and leisure activities
How does O.T. fit in?
Your child may need help with participating in their daily living, physical and learning environment.
This may affect how they manage:
moving safely
sustaining posture eg sitting for table-top activities
fine motor skills eg handwriting
gross motor skills eg P.E.
sustaining activity levels
concentration/attention
organisation, planning & sequencing
making sense of visual information
use of technology
self-care and daily living skills
